Q: What type of motor oil should be used in my 2011 Subaru Forester?
A: The only motor oil recommended for the 2011 Forester normally aspirated engine is a full synthetic 0W-20. For the Forester XT turbo engine, a 5W-30 full synthetic motor oil is recommended.

Q: Do I have to come back to my Subaru dealer to have the oil and filter changed?
A: No... but most independent service stations and quicklube shops do not carry 0W-20 motor oil. If you need to have your oil changed anywhere other than a Subaru dealer, please let them know that vehicle needs 0W-20 motor oil.
Q: How much is an oil change at Subaru of Claremont?
A: For a full synthetic oil & filter change we charge $59.95. For a synthetic blend (regular) oil change we charge $29.95
Q: Nearly $60 for an oil change seems like a lot. How come it is twice as much?
A: The full synthetic oil change is about twice the price of our regular oil change based on the cost of the full synthetic motor oil. Subaru full synthetic motor oil does cost more than regular oil, but it also delivers several performance
benefits including improved lubrication, increased power, and better fuel
economy. That being said, it generally only has to be done half as often. In the end it pretty much works out to the same cost over time, the difference is that you only need to make half as many trips to get your oil changed.
